Several NasDem Party cadres chose to resign after the declaration of DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan as the 2024 NasDem presidential candidate (Capres). NasDem Party DPP leader Irma Suryani Chaniago admitted that he understood the cadre's resignation.
For Irma, this can happen because they no longer have the same point of view. "The cadres who resigned because they might no longer have the same opinion. That's fine in politics, because politics is dynamic," said Irma, reported Wednesday (5/10/2022).
Meanwhile, the woman who is familiarly called Uni Irma is also known to often criticize Anies Baswedan. For him, carrying out criticism of leaders is the duty of politicians and representatives of the people.
"Criticism is not meant to hate, but constructive criticism is part of the support to correct the performance in question. If the results of these criticisms create a good performance, why not support it afterwards? That's what maturity in politics is," he explained.
Not only that, the member of Commission IX of the DPR RI has increased his group to be committed to always supporting the Jokowi-Maruf government until it ends.
